On May 13th DYFC is running a fundraiser in support of The Leukaemia Foundation. We have decided to do this in partnership with Max, one of our u18 players who has recently gone through chemo and radiotherapy treatments for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
Max is a superstar and has been looking forward to his return to football the whole way through and has been training even during his treatment. Max plays in under 18 and has already made some appearances in the AL1 squad last year and this year too. As such the AL and U18 groups have organized this fundraiser and Max has nominated the Leukaemia Foundation as his preferred charity.
Max's fundraising page is available here https://fundraise.leukaemia.org.au/fundraisers/TheMaxFundraiser/max--s-leukaemia-fundraiser
People can make donations directly.
We would appreciate the following donations and help for the day:
We are also inviting anyone who would like to come and watch a great afternoon of football on May 13th to come down. Both of our boys U18 teams are playing at home. Max and his team at 1pm and then our Div 2 side at 3pm. First-grade men are also playing at Dee Why that day.
We’d like to thank Dee Why RSL Club for their support of this event too.
If anyone has anything they’d like to donate or help with please contact Alex on 0406973909 (call / text/ WhatsApp)
It’s going to be an exciting day and one where the Dee Why FC family can support Max and those others who need our help.
